Tips on Traveling With Children Under Age 5:

Bring small “easy to play with” toys and set them up so they are easy for your child to reach. Bring a small blanket for each child. Install a dvd player or tv/dvd player if possible. Story tapes or cd’s work wonders too. Play simple road games.

Make sure have a small or medium size cooler for fruit snacks and drinks, a bag for snacks or sugar free treats (pretzels & crackers are great).

Make sure to stop every 2 hours for a 15 to 20 min break for a child under 3, every 3 1/2 hrs for older children. Stop any place where they can run about for a little bit. This works out their abundant energy so you can travel with relative ease.
